Joutra ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Joutra mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using Joutra, creating an account, or purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms, together with our Terms of Service.
We collect only the information needed to operate Joutra:
Account and authentication information
Journal and app content
AI Feature usage
Subscription information
Support and communications
Device and technical information
Joutra does not request or require access to your location, contacts, camera, photo library, microphone, HealthKit or other health and fitness data, browsing history, or advertising identifiers for core journaling features. We do not use web cookies in the mobile app, and we do not sell your personal data.
We use information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate Joutra, only as needed to provide their services and subject to appropriate safeguards. These may include:
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, fraud prevention, or compliance with applicable law.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a successor policy with notice where required by law.
When you tap Analyze or otherwise use AI Features, Joutra sends the journal content you choose to analyze to an AI service provider so an automated insight can be generated and shown to you.
AI processing is initiated by you and limited to the content you submit for that request. AI outputs are automated and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are not a substitute for professional advice. Please review our Terms of Service for additional AI disclaimers.
We do not use your journal entries to train public AI models unless we separately inform you and obtain any consent required by law.
Journal entries are stored locally on your device. Account-related information is retained only as long as needed to provide the Service, manage your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or maintain legitimate business operations.
When we no longer need information, we delete, anonymize, or de-identify it where reasonably practicable. Certain backup or archived copies may remain temporarily in secure systems before permanent deletion.
You can delete your Joutra account from within the app settings. When you delete your account, we delete your authentication account, clear local journal data on your device, and disassociate your subscription profile from your account in our systems within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, billing records, or similar legitimate purposes.
Third-party providers such as RevenueCat, OpenAI, Apple, or Google may retain limited records according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations. You may contact us at contact@alemixtech.com for privacy requests related to data we control.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active app store subscription. You must cancel subscriptions through your Apple or Google account settings.
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including secure authentication, access controls, and reputable infrastructure and service providers.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
